Mouth Study 01 - B4NAFTER By Niya

The first exploration in the Mouth Study series.

This piece examines expression as form — the mouth emerging from the garment as a sculptural object rather than a printed image. Hand-stitched lips and layered textile construction create depth, tension, and movement across the surface.

A soft tongue extension reveals a stitched heart detail reading “Eat Me,” turning the garment into a playful but unsettling study of desire, consumption, and voice.

Each hoodie begins with a premium blank sourced from Italy and is individually customized by hand in Japan. No two pieces are identical. Variations in stitching, texture, and paint are intentional and part of the work.
